Mega Design Ltd. is a leading firm of Consulting Engineers based in Mauritius. It was established by two Chartered Engineers, Messrs. D.Sooredoo & G.C. Khushiram. The two engineers bring together some 50 years of professional experience of which over 25 years has been in Mauritius.

The firm comprises a staff of some 20 full time personnel and in addition to the two Directors, currently employs ten qualified Engineers and five Technicians. The firm also draws specialist expertise from various laboratories, organisations and independent consultants both in Mauritius, UK, France, Germany and Holland. The firm is associated with International Consulting Firms, with the objective of strengthening Mega Design’s capabilities and widening the disciplines offered.

The firm has a fully equipped drawing office, a network of Computer Aided Design Workstations, a competent secretarial staff and a wide range of computer and software facilities.

Our Founding Members

Nand Sooredoo

A Chartered Civil Engineer and Director that brings exceptional expertise to Mega Design Ltd, underpinned by a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Master of Engineering Science in Hydraulics from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance. He is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK), a member of engineering institutions in Australia and Mauritius, a Registered Engineer in Mauritius, and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institution of Arbitrators (CIArb). As Managing Director and Project Director at Mega Design Ltd, Nand leads the company with a strong commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable infrastructure development.

Chand Khushiram

A Chartered Structural Engineer and Director, that holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and an M.Sc. in Concrete Structures from Imperial College London. A Chartered Member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers (UK) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (UK), and a Registered Engineer in Mauritius, Chand is an expert in concrete and steel structures, ports and harbours, and transportation infrastructure. As Director and Project Director at Mega Design Ltd for over 25 years, he has been instrumental in delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable structural engineering solutions.
